Sending email for new opportunity

Let me explain how Smorty works ; when a campaign is submitted for more than 30 posts the system automatically sends an email to all suitable bloggers – suitable bloggers means, whose Page Rank and the other criterias suit the advertisers choice. So all suitable bloggers receive an email from Smorty .
-- New Campaign Alert !!- cool 
But first come first served... Bloggers can then accept the new campaign and when enough have signed up for it, it will no longer show on the admin panel, also when you log in to see this opportunity you will see a clear notice explaining if there are no campaigns left.
Please do not send emails to our support team regarding this question. You just need to be quick and remember there are 10,000 approved (!) bloggers in the system!
Have a good weekend . :)

Duplicate Content !

Good Morning All !
Today I would like to talk about 'Duplicate Content' !
Duplicate content is an advertisers' worst nightmare, and Smorty's. If a blogger writes a post copying content from the advertisers site, another bloggers post or anywhere else on the internet, Smorty will notice and unfortunately ban you. We regard this as fraudulent or simply cheating the system. Duplicate content is stealing money from an advertiser and reducing a posts importance on the web.

How does Smorty find posts with duplicate content?
Each time you submit a post, our system runs a program matching your words with other blog posts on the web. If you are the second person to submit a post and it's found to have duplicate content, your post is automatically disputed. Smorty staff will then double check it's content and if found to by clearly duplicate, they will ban your account.

What can you do to stop this?
Simple, write quality, original content. Why? it's good for your blog (more indexed pages with higher importance, plus you get a higher Smorty star rating), good for the advertisers (They get value for their money).
Once you are caught writing duplicate posts, you will be banned forever and outstanding payments will be lost. So please, keep up the good work and everyone will be happy.

Here at Smorty we love to work with honest and hard working bloggers. We like to give value to our advertisers and your best results means success for everyone.

See you soon ..
Jen .

What are indexed pages and Page Rank

Hi Everybody .

First of all I want to thank you for all your nice comments , also I am really happy to see lots of bloggers enjoy using the Smorty Forum. There is lots of useful information in it and to see bloggers help bloggers is really nice for me :)

Today I just want to say something about indexed pages and Page Rank . You all know very well what the page rank is, I am sure all bloggers are already masters at this :) However some bloggers, especially new bloggers do not know what an indexed page is. An indexed page is simply: how many pages of your blog have been crawled and listed in the search engines so far.

To have enough number of indexed pages is the most important criteria for us to approve a blog in to Smorty. There are many different tools on the internet but to simplify, You can go to Google's search box and enter your blog's URL in the search field by entering ‘site:’

i.e. Site:http://your blog URL
This is true of many sites where you may wonder if your blog is indexed for search. If Smorty decline your blog due to a lack of indexed pages, you can always resubmit your blog when it has enough indexed pages on Google.

I hope this tiny information may help you.

What is the post URL and how can you find it?

The other common subject is the "Post URL" in your emails .

Post URL is the URL of your post that you publish for advertisers .Simply click on your post title, the address you see on your browser is your post URL.

This is what you have to submit to the system. i.e. the title is "Blog advertising" for smorty and the post URL will be something like this "http://blogaddress.blogspot.com/smoty.html" So you need to paste this URL when submitting your task. Not your Blog URL or home page URL, just your post URL !

The importance of the post URL for us is that with our periodic checking the system will not follow any posts made with Smorty on your home page. This is against our rules . Some of the old Smorty fellas know very well already that payments have been put on hold due to the post URL being missing. You often tell us posts are not missing , but have submitted your home page URL instead of the exact post URL so the system could not find it.(Of course if any of the posts have been deleted , we have no choice but ban the blog !)

My last words : Now you know! So no need to ask Smorty support "what is the URL for your post?”

Time for coffee .. see you soon:)

5 Star Rating System

Hi,
Here I am, back again. I thought you might like to have a full explanation of the 5 star rating.

The 5 stars are given to your blogger profile and affect the posts and payments you get. Here's a run down of how it works;
The following scores are given for each action, the average of all scores determines your final rating.

. Task completed and submitted - 4/5
. The advertiser gives your post a rating - a score between 1 and 5A
. A task expires within 24 hours - 2.5/5
. Post is sent back for fixing - 2.5/5
. Your post was declined - 1/5

Your final star rating is also an average taken over all blogs listed in your account.

What does the star rating affect?
Tasks will be delivered to the highest rated blogs first, then work their way down to the lowest rated blogs.Star ratings are also divided by the blogs Page rank, e.g. if an advertiser creates a campaign for Page Rank 3 blogs only, the tasks will be delivered to the high star rated blogs with Page Rank 3 first, then to the lower star rated blogs with Page Rank 3.

Hope this is helpful for you all. Will speak to you again soon! ;)

What is anchor text and how can you paste it on your post ?

Good morning all ..All support team ( for bloggers and for advertisers) are ready to work today. I have just checked the emails you have sent - you won't believe how many emails I have :)) I decided to write about the "anchor text". Because 90% of the emails were about the anchor text or the code we provided for your posts.

What is Anchor URL-Text? : It is the text that we click on to activate and follow a hyperlink to another web site .Generally the text with a hyperlink is in different colors and underlined so that it can be distinguished from other text, ie :blog advertising Here's an example, Click Here, in which "Click Here" is the anchor text.

Anchor text describes to Search Engines what the web site is about.
Smorty provides you with this code ,and you just paste the code on to your posts HTML part. It is that easy .Any posts saying anchor text not found means that the code we provided has not been placed exactly as we provided it to you. it must be found unaltered. If the system says "Anchor URL/text not found" You don't need to send an email to us, please check the code again and it will submit without a problem.

You send emails to our side about anchor text problems and while you are waiting for an answer you could be missing some opportunities. No need to, just check the code or remove it then paste it again.

Enough chit chat.. I have to get back to work :)
See you soon , Jen .

Very First Post

Hello Everyone,
This is Jennifer(!), Blog Editor of Smorty. I’m here to introduce you to Smorty.
Actually you know very well what Smorty is. Smorty is an organic structure that grows and gets bigger with you bloggers, it's a hub between bloggers and advertisers. The master plan is to find the shortest way to allow bloggers to earn more money by using our system. While we were trying to do that we received a lot of e-mails from you and realized that our bloggers needed someone on their side! Someone to guide you, explain things you must or must not do, inform you about the new features on Smorty and generally help with many more things... as a matter of fact I'm planning to create a platform in which we can discuss anything you need.

I can tell you that lots of surprises are coming soon, ( our poor engineers are working around the clock). Also you'll soon be able to see how colorful a blog advertising network can be.

To make a long story short, I'm planning to change this platform from a cold place to a warm, entertaining and interactive area and also to take most of the load from the shoulders of the Smorty support team

So I'm saying Hi to all of you ladies and gents again and starting work on my new posts (hard job hehe)

Second Post : What is anchor text (URL ) and how can you paste it on your post ?
