New Campaign Notice
It's been nearly a month since my last post. Emails we have received during this time are mainly about New Campaign Notices that are sent via email. There are a large number of Smortians asking where the task is located on the admin panel for New Campaign Notices. Some bloggers even completed their posts after they recieved the email and sent us post URL's, expecting to be paid for their posts.
I need to inform you that you have to login to your admin panel to accept the task, right after you receive an email about New Campaign Notices. The system sends a notice to each blogger automatically when a new campaign is submitted. This does not mean that the task is given to you. You need to login to accept it before others do. And if there are no tasks available when you login to your admin panel, this indicates that all of the tasks are taken by other Smortians.
Please do not write any posts before accepting a task from the New Tasks section of your admin panel.
Talk to you Soon,

There are actually two points that I want to bring to your attention today.
The first issue is; we have been receiving news from our advertisers that some of the bloggers are removing the posts they have written from their blogs. We want to remind you that all posts you have written for Smorty are permemant; which means that you can never remove them. We have a software checking the blogs regularly for this kind of behavior; and penalizing the blogger, all payments will be removed from future earnings. I don’t really see the point of making a quick $6 and never posting again. Please read the Smorty rules and FAQ’s before you accept any tasks and avoid removing posts.
The other thing is an update of another spam blog site which is: blogsky.com. They actually are the same people that made blogfa.com. Needless to say, we are banning all the blogs ending with this one also.
Take care and have fun blogging :)

UPDATES AND NEW STUFF
I know you are not used to getting 2 posts in a row from me, but wanted to suprise you all J
I have an update to give on the topic below.
I have received the information that Turkish authorities have removed the bann on blogspot sites as of yesterday. So all blogger.com blogs can be viewed and updated from Turkey.
And another thing is; I saw some of you guys have complained about our customer service and not being able to receive as many offers as you did in the past. Well, I have informed our customer support about your compaints and they have informed me that they are answering all emails they receive from you guys, unless the answer is not in our rules/FAQ’s sections. As to the offers; we are releasing the campaigns to you as soon as we receive them from the advertisers. Yes, there may be a little decrease of campaigns nowadays; however there still are posts being written, campaigns being published. Please understand as our network grows, the number of campaigns may stay the same, so obviously to you guys it might look like less tasks are available.
Above all, I understand some of you guys have concerns about Smorty’s future. Well, beleive it or not, we were, are and will be always here as long as we have the support of you guys on our back.
See you all soon..

NEW THINGS TO BE SHARED
It’s been ages since my last post. I have got some news for you which I think is important..
The most important news that I have is about blogs with blogfa.com extensions. We are not acceptings blogs with this extension any longer because it is plainly spam software. We are banning the ones that have applied and were previously approved. So, my advice is, don’t use blogfa.com blogs and apply to Smorty. Your blog will eventually be banned.
The second news I have is, even though it won’t make a big difference for most of you, blogspot.com extension is now banned within Turkey. So any viewers/authors from Turkey cannot view the blogspot.com sites.

GOOGLE LAUNCHED CHROME!!
Hey guys!!! It has been quite a long time since my last post.. How are you all doing? Are you all finished with preparations for the new school year? Of course I am talking about the ones that have kids going to school, or ones that are students... Well, I wish you all the best in this new schooling year...
In today’s post, I’d like to talk about a new release from Google. Some of you might have information on it, but it is called Google Chrome and it is their new browser. Those of you who are bored of explorer or firefox; Google Chrome is the new open source browser. I have downloaded it, and started to use it. I can say that it is a lot faster than explorer. Google is saying that they have relased the beta for windows and are working on versions for Mac and Linux.
If you are interested in getting further information, you can login to Google’s Blog which is:
http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2008/09/fresh-take-on-browser.html
They even have a comic link available in the blog which explains the making of Chrome.
http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/index.html
I am using this browser at the moment. And I have to say it is very useful, handy and most importantly FAST!!! Maybe you’d want to give it a try??

Image link codes
Sometimes blog softwares can be difficult to get right with these, so if you just enter this code with the correct bits filled in to your blog HTML then it should display fine.

DIGXA PAYMENTS
In today’s post, I want to clarify a point about Digxa Payments as I have been informed by the support team that there are a lot of emails about this.
When you have the Digxa widget in your blog, you know that you get commission for the click through based on your keywords (if the Javascript found any keywords in your blog)
Payments for this “pay-per-click” system is again done through paypal, but is done when you write a post. So, if you don’t take any assignments and don’t write any posts, you also will not be paid for the Digxa clicks. As you know, all this is done by masspay system. So we are not able to send Digxa payments seperately. Mass pay charges a min fee for every payment to bloggers and unless you make a post then the fees are often higher than your commissions so we had to do it.
Thank you all very much for your understanding and support.

FORFEIT BUTTON
We have got news for you! As you know, when you write a post on behalf of Smorty, you have to keep the post up in your blog permantently and as you know, we do have a software that is checking the posts regurlarly.
Some of you see a warning on your admin panel about missing posts from time to time. There may be numerous reasons for missing posts such as: your blog may have been deleted by the provider, your post may be deleted, the anchor link could be curropted etc. You will be asked to resubmit the posts, and if in any case you cannot re-submit the posts, you now have the option to just press this “forfeit button" and delete the missing posts from Smorty’s database. This will remove the value of these posts from your future payments. You can then continue posting without this interruption.
See you all next week!!

GOOGLE PR UPDATES
Google has once again updated the Page Rank structure today. So some of you may see your PR went down, and some of you saw it went up. In today’s post, I want to point out the facts that can affect your PR.
As there are numerous topics in the forum about this, I would like to bring some points to your attention just one more time:
* DO NOT buy PR ranked domain names. Google figures out real quick that this is fake. This will only end up wasting your money and time.
* Submit your blog to relevant directories that make one way links
* Update your blog regularly with unique content
* Trade links with other relevant bloggers
* Make blog visits and leave comments that are worth reading and that would bring the reader back to your blog
* Submit your blog to free search engines.
These are some of the ideas that I can give for now. Be an honest blogger, write honestly and don’t fall for “if you pay us this amount, we will make your PR higher” type of fraudilent activities. Be honest and have fun!!

CIRQUE DU SOLEIL TOURING AUSTRALIA
In today’s post, I want to give those of you in AU or will be in November, 2008 an information about an event that will be held in Brisbane.
It is “Cirque Du Soleil”, as for me it is the most amazing and enchanting stage art show I have ever seen. I never had the chance to see it live, however, a friend of mine visited the Amsterdam show called “Varekai” in February and told me that it was wonderful and anyone who has a chance should definetly see it. It is a lifetime experience. A “must do” thing definetely!
They started their tour in AU and are at the moment in Sydney with their show called “Dralion” which is also one of my favorites. (But I also adore; Alegria, Varekai, Quidam and La Nouba) They will be in Canbera in October 2008 and will be in Brisbane in November with the same show.
So if you are in one of these cities in the AU, please do make time for yourself and your loved ones, and visit the show. I am very sure that you will love it and become addicted to it as I am at the moment. I would like to thank my brother who introduced me to this beautiful act couple of years ago. Beautiful music, wonderful colours, perfect performance... Everything is great. Take my word!!
For more information on tour programs, shows and tickets; you may visit www.cirquedusoleil.com
Please do share your thoughts with me after the show.
See ya!

DIGXA WIDGET
It’s been more than a week since my last post. Well, since then, as usual, we have been working really hard whilst trying to keep our promise to spend some quality time togther. Do you?
In this weeks post, I would like to clarify some points about the DIGXA WIDGET. I have been informed that, our support team had been receiving tickets about the widget not being shown on their blogs. Well, the deal on this is, even though you cannot see the widget when you login to your account, your widget will only be shown to visitors from: Canada, United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Australia, Austria, United States, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and New Zealand. So, if you are not located in one of there countries, you will not be able to see your widget (except the frame). Another thing is; if you are located in one of these countries, but still not able to see your widget, the problem is because of the big number of widgets that you place in your blog. If you use too many widgets in your blog, it will take a long time to load.
Well, I hope this was helpful. Please let me know if you have any questions or need help with anything. Got to go now, work has piled up and it needs my attention.

Declining Posts
Ahh, Summer days are coming... and I love summer…Sea, sun, bronze tan If the category of this blog was ‘Travel’, I could tell you where you should go for a summer trip or if it was a beauty blog I could tell you about sun care products or special diets, but this blog is about ‘Blogging’ about ‘Smorty’ about ‘Smortians’, so lets chat about the decline reasons of Smorty. I want to explain the decline reasons to bring some Smortians up to speed because I guess some don’t understand very clearly what the reasons are and they resubmit their blogs without fixing what was requested. Some include:
Google Page Rank 0 and Not Enough Indexed Pages: The blogs must have sufficient indexed pages on Google to get approved. I have already published a post about it. Please read It very carefully http://blog.smorty.com/2008/02/what-are-indexed-pages-and-pr.html Also this link may guide you to build your indexed pages http://www.smorty.com/g/9358/blog-optimization.html
Some of the content is not original: It means your blog has duplicate content! We cannot approve that kind of blog. Yes sometimes you can do some quotes for the subject you talk about, ie if you are talking about the I-Pod, after writing your opinion you can paste the technical things relating to the Ipod, but not the whole post. Actually it is also good for your readers to have unique and helpful content. They can find the tech features everywhere but they are your readers and they want to know your opinion about this subject. Also I think you need to read the old posts that I have published about duplicate content: http://blog.smorty.com/2008/02/duplicate-content.html
Not an active blog: We love live blogs. Whatever your Page Rank or number of indexed pages are. Your blog must be active and must have a history of minimum average of 2 new posts per week and please do not resubmit after publishing just one post.
Blog contains non English content: It means your blog contains some posts written in any other language than English, You can only get paid for blogging using English content. Please don’t resubmit after publishing juts one English content.
A blog account can only be under a root domain e.g. www.domain.com, not www.domain.com/blog: Your blog must be under your root domain. But you can use subdomains like: blog.mydomain.com. as long as you own the root domain.
I guess it is enough for today. I don’t like to talk about declining or disputing but I hope it’s been helpful at least. By the way it is time for lunch :)
See you soon

Digxa Widgets (BETA) – Pay Per Click
Hi Eveybody..Finally we are ready to go online for our new feature ‘Digxa Mini Stores. This feature earns you money from commissions from pay-per-click widgets and banners in your blog. In consequence of working with the shopping site DIGXA, Smorty is able to feed contextual product ads to your blog. So keywords in your blog will display related products in a widget or banner. Every time a visitor clicks on a product they are interested in, you can earn up to $0.60 depending on the type of product displayed. Easy money!
What do I do? Simply place the code which you will find on your dashboard to your blog. The system will find a suitable keyword by analyzing your blog and place a Javascript link automatically. These links are not seen by search engines, so your optimization will not be affected.
Commissions are earned on a monthly basis and will be paid roughly 15 days after each months earnings.
Click here for the details for Digxa mini stores:
http://www.smorty.com/g/27031/smorty-mini-stores-advertising.html
Engineers worked really hard for the PPC but don’t forget that it is still BETA and we appreciate any bug reports. Just send us your blogs URL if you have any trouble when you place the code. Just DON’T change the code. If you edit the code, your banner publishing will be removed permanently.
Actually there is no need to remind you that it is useless if you click the banner or link on your blog yourself. The system checks the IP and if you insist to click on them, your banner publishing will be removed permanently.
Lastly I just want to remind you about the referral program, you’ll not only earn commission by using the new feature, you’ll also earn referral commissions from other bloggers using this feature. You will earn 5% commission of the total payments made to your referred blogger by Smorty. :)
Enjoy it.

Our new place
Finally we moved to our new place!! Personally I don’t like moving or changes but this place is fantastic! It doesn’t mean that I didn’t like the old place but quite simply, the Smorty team could not fit into the old office anymore. We are growing quickly and needed more desks.
Everything (computers, tables, chairs etc.) has changed. Searching for a new place and purchasing new things is really wearing, so thank you guys you did great job! Especially me, I love my office
This morning while drinking coffee which I’ve taken from our new coffee machine! I was chatting with the design team, they decided to redesign Smorty’s website. New office, new coffee machine and a new web site, everything is new.
I hope you (and the advertisers) will love and enjoy our new web site design and some great new features along with it.
Now I need to go to another room to check if everybody is happy to work in their new office.
See you , Jen..

The blog must be in English
First of all I want you thank you for sending me emails just for Fun :) they are really nice, I will publish some of them soon.
Today I want to say something about the language of your blog. One of our rules is ‘Your blog must be in English’ It means if the blog contains some non English content it won’t be approved. It is not a solution if you publish the ‘paid post’ in English. There should not be any posts or sentences in non English. Please do not resubmit your blog if you haven’t deletes non English words from it.
Our admin staff informed me that the bloggers are constantly trying to resubmit their blog even if they don’t delete non English content. They say that bloggers are publishing posts in English and then resubmit it to the system even though they’re declined due to ‘Blog contains non English content’. No, no, no it won’t work. You need to “Delete” it. If you insist to resubmit, your blog will be banned and it doesn’t matter if you resubmit from another account (other email address) the system will catch it and the decline reason will still be on it. Clever huh? :)
I hope we understand each other.
Have a nice day

Helpful Toolbars:
There are thousands of topical blogs and websites with information about page rank, traffic, link popularity… etc, and I am pretty sure you all try to use each and every new method on the net to get the best out of your blog, but I am not sure that all information is actually true or very useful at the least. For this reason I suggest that you visit only authoritive blogs such as Matt Cutts (http://www.mattcutts.com/blog). You can find the most relevant and truthful information first hand.
The following tools are also helpful in understanding the importance of your blog, finding the weakest part and learning how to fix it.
A Page Rank Checker, Back link checker, Link Popularity tool and my favorite Keyword Suggestion tools can be found here: http://www.iwebtool.com/tools/ I suggest you use all available tools to find your position in blog cyberspace.
Here’s another useful site which generates a report for grading your blog or website based on link structure, information, language skills, uniqueness and more: http://www.websitegrader.com/
I really liked this site as it helps you easily find the common mistakes in your blog.
Lastly make sure your blog is in: Technorati and Dmoz.org. They are the largest web directory in the internet and Google loves them :)
See you soon.

Thank you for your kind and supportive emails
I am sorry not to have published any posts these last few days, we are really busy with the new feature! As I have mentioned before, we are trying to find the shortest way to allow bloggers to earn more money by using our system.
Anyway I am really glad to see that you liked the new post exchange feature of Smorty. So far there have been lots of bloggers participating in this. Also thank you for your nice emails regarding the new feature. I assure you we are still working on the pay per click mini stores feature coming shortly.
Post Exchange works in the same way as submitting a post for advertisers and it will help you increase traffic and inbound links. Just be sure to remember the rules:
Minimum 150 words.
Posts must be uniquely written
Post and exact link must be permanent.
Posts must be accessible from home page.
Posts must be written in English.
Posts must have correct spelling and grammar.
Posts must be related to target blogs main topic.
Posts must only link to target blog.
Posts must not use "no follow tag"
Posts must not be listed in a sponsored category.
Anchor text must be part of a sentence.
No pornographic, hate content or use of bad language.
See you soon,
Jennifer

The description area for the campaign
I want to remind you one of the advertisers requests again. You all know there is a description section for the campaign that the advertisers fill to guide your post. I suggest you read this area very carefully!. This area is created for you, lets say: “it’s a way of communication between bloggers and the advertisers!” Simply click ‘Show details’ link below the task to find what advertisers ask from you.
Don’t forget though, the advertisers have no right to create their own rules, you only need follow the specific rules of Smorty. You should still follow their preferences in their description area though. For example if an advertiser asks you to write a post for a special product on the web page, please do it. Otherwise they have the right to dispute your post and please remember it affects your “star rating” directly. They may not dispute the post but they can still give you lower rating.
Smorty doesn’t allow them to change specific rules. For example they can’t ask you to write post of minimum 300 words.
Please read the Smorty blogger rules and the description area for the tasks before submitting a post. We all want happy advertisers and bloggers.
Have a nice day

Post Exchange Feature
Our new features (more than one) as we mentioned before, are almost ready. Thanks for your patience, I’m sure it will pay off. One of these new features is ready to go. Post Exchange (beta)!
As you know, our advertisers create campaigns for you so they can build traffic and links. Now you too can have the same benefit for free. This is what we mean by post exchange. You can now exchange a written post for each other, one for one. This is not a reciprocal link, you will write a post for a blogger in the same category, then a different blogger will write a post for you. We make sure that these posts are exchanged only by similar blogs that are indexed with search engines and have rankings, you will only receive quality bloggers of the same value as yours.
You will find all information about it on your admin panel under the “Post Exchange (beta)” link. Please read all the available information. Then click Post Exchange Settings: to arrange your anchor text. It means other bloggers will publish a post for you by using the anchor text as you provided.
Then click:
Get New Task: to see a task for you. You will always find only one task here. After submitting your task to the system you will find a new one. Remember For every post you wrote, a post will be written for you by a different blogger, one for one.
Review Post to read the post which is written for you. You can give a rating to the bloggers and it will affect their Smorty 5 star rating directly. Also you can dispute the post. The post will be sent back to the bloggers to fix it. But please remember disputing a post affects their ranking So please think twice before disputing and rating! Disputing for false reasons will have a negative affect on your own account.
I think this is enough, you will find it on your admin panel as I mentioned you before. It is all free and only for Smorty approved bloggers. Enjoy it :)
Have a good weekend.

Emails I receive
Grammar is a major problem with many bloggers and the main reason your posts are disputed. We talk about this in the forum a lot and the blogger rules clearly mention this. "All posts must be written using correct grammar. If the advertiser finds your post to be using incorrect grammar it will be disputed and removed from your completed posts list". Remember that we approve you with the understanding that you have read our rules and are competent in posting for advertisers.
Guys I know blogs are personal and you are free to write anything into it, but never forget that you are getting paid for posts so you need to be careful about grammar. Please double check your posts. If the post has broken English it will be disputed and it will affect your rating. This may be sent back for fixing, however it may be declined entirely or even result in an entire ban depending on each case. This is a job after all, it needs to be done as professional as possible.
Do not forget to read the 'Campaign Description' and visit the website of the advertisers.
Sometimes you need to place a second link if the advertisers ask you to. If you don't do what advertisers ask then your post will be disputed and it will affect your rating. Neither of us want that so please be careful, we don’t provide explanations on why your star rating has dropped.
Please, if you are not sure what you should write about for a campaign, simply 'remove' it. You won't lose anything.
I’m praying that this be the last day I receive complaint emails from advertisers about grammar. :)
Have a good day.
Jen.

Wrong Paypal ID
Good Afternoon,
Our support team just asked me for a favor so today’s article is about wrong/invalid Paypal ID’s. I have no idea why bloggers enter wrong Paypal ID! You need to double check it on sign up or check your details from your admin panel.
The rule is you need to verify the payment from your Paypal admin area within 30 days to get the payment but you can’t verify the payment if you have entered a wrong/invalid Paypal ID. We have been informed by Paypal that, with rejected or unclaimed payments to blogger's Paypal accounts, PayPal is taking 1 month to return and have it ready to send again using mass pay. It means you should wait for 1 month to get paid. Then the payment will be added to your account and will be sent with your pending earnings. Our Mass pay system only generates a payment cycle if there has been a post submitted. There is no way to send the payment from our account to yours directly.

What is backlinking?
I suppose that all bloggers- especially bloggers who work with some companies for blog advertising, like Smorty, know a lot about Page Rank, indexed pages, backlinks etc. but when I checked the last emails that our support team received I realized that a lot of bloggers don’t have any idea about backlinks.
Backlinks are the inbound links from other sites pointing your sites pages. It is one of the most important factors in SEO, but it’s not just the number of backlinks which is important, it’s the relevancy of those sites. A good quality backlink is:
a) From other blogs with relevant content.
b) From higher page rank blogs.
c) Anchor text of the backlinks should be the keyword that you are trying to optimize for.
d) Do not try to get a lot of backlinks in a short time period.
There are different tools on the internet to check your backlinks or you can just enter
link:your-blog-here.blogspot.com on the Google search box.
Lastly: It’s just not possible to get a Page Rank 5 with two backlinks. Stop buying high page rank domains and submitting your blog to Google
See you soon.

Blog Optimization
You all love blogging, love to write something about your life, your interests, your professions.. etc and it’s always nice to earn some money at the same time, right? :)
However you all know that some bloggers get paid more, the main reason is they optimize their blog very well.
In other words, they write unique, high quality content which is relevant throughout the blog. Then create an exposure on the net that is once again relevant and popular. As I have previously mentioned, publishing a post is not enough. You need to work carefully and passionately on your blog. I know there is heaps of information about blog optimization on the Internet. But here are the basic tool you need to set up the best structure for search engines: http://www.smorty.com/g/9358/blog-optimization.html
There are different tools to check your blogs including keyword search tool, adding url tool, indexed pages tool etc. Simply use those tools to learn more about your blog and find the best way to improve your rankings and traffic.
Start to work with adding your blog URL to Google, just visit :http://www.google.com/addurl/ and sign up to Google Webmaster tool. You don’t need to be expert on SEO, just follow the instructions.
By the way, there are some bloggers almost at the level of being an SEO expert in the Smorty Forum :), check the posts and ask your questions to them if you need.
Bye for now.

Removed or changed address of posts
Each month, Smorty do a check of all blogs to see all previous posts can be found. If the posts have been removed, the link broken, or the address changed, it will be tagged for fixing in your admin panels. The total money for these missing posts will be held from future payments until they have been fixed. Once they have been fixed, any balance to be paid will be released on your next payment if you have made a post.
We must stress that this is money on hold, if you fix the posts before your next payment then you will be paid the amount pending, not the amount pending plus the on hold amount. We know that some bloggers are against this rule, but we feel the simple logic of advertisers paying for a permanent link means that they should get it. It's also in your best interest to keep pages in your blog as they eventually get a page rank and a good ranking in search engines. Hope this clears things up a little.
See you soon. Jen..

Can I change the domain name of my blog?
Basically No. Here is the reason why :
You have a domain name, say it is one year old. Search engines index your blog and the pages, all the posts on your domain are indexed on search engines and a value given according to the age, inbound links and content of your domain. Please remember when you change the domain of your blog then all those criteria will disappear. The new domain will start from scratch once again in the search engines. It needs to have it's own value and structure.
So we cannot change your domain, you will need to submit it as a new blog from your account.
The problem is, when you transfer your old blog to the new address all post URLs which have been made for Smorty will disappear and with our periodic checking, the system won’t find the post URL on your blog so your payment will be held until you enter the correct URL. There is no way around this.
So think twice before you change your domain :)
See you soon..

Some Suggestions
Now I want to say something about your blog and the posts you'll write for Smorty.
It’s important not to miss the purpose of owning a blog. You should write not only for commercial purposes, but for your readers as well. Quality content will bring traffic and in time that will bring you money. So don’t start off being greedy.
Believe me guys, sometimes it's hard to read your posts because of the number of ads in it. Lots of ads, very complicated design, very large image sizes also (impossible to download) background music is not a good idea for your readers. Simply look at your blog from the outside, check the design and the pictures on it. The reader should not have to search for your posts, they should be obvious. I also recommend you to remove advertisements at the top of posts.
You can easily find a lot of useful information about this on the internet, I just wanted to remind you. ...and please don’t forget to use webtools for your blog. Some of you have already spoken on this subject in the Smorty Forum. Please visit the forum and discuss with the other bloggers further. After all, that’s what it’s for!
About your Posts;
What makes a post perfect in Smorty’s eyes?
a) Please think twice before using duplicate content, even to get more posts at once. You all know your blog will be banned with no way to un-ban .
b) Your post must contain min 150 words. While submitting a post please find the box on your admin panel. Simply paste your content in it. You will see an error message if it does not contain 150 words. Do not forget if your post is declined or sent back for fixing, it will affect your rating .
c) Only enter the sponsors link. It will also be declined if the advertiser find any other link on the post they have paid for.
d) You also need to submit your Post URL . Please click here for more information. Submitting your homepage is not a good idea because the advertisers have 5 days to read the posts. Say, they read it at the 4th day after the submisson .. tada! they won't find it on your home page because you already published new posts above theirs!
My last words are; you need to work for your blog, publishing a post is not enough ... Visit other blogs, leave comments (do not leave something like “link exchange?” or "visit my blog". Remember, the blog you visit is not your advertising area.)
Enough chit chat, today is Monday and I have a lot of work! I have a meeting with our engineers about a surprise project for you ;)
See you soon ...

Payments
Bloggers generally get paid on a weekly basis, however Smorty do not have a set payment day. The reason for this is because we pay via PayPal mass pay. The transfer of tens of thousands of dollars through PayPal can sometimes vary in time. As soon as your post has been approved, which takes 5 days, we try to pay for that blog article on the first payment day of that week.
I have pasted this information from our FAQ’s page, I strongly suggest you to check our rules and FAQ’s page before submitting a post.
Cheers

Referall Commissions
We often get emails from bloggers saying we haven't paid their referral commission. Let me explain why this might happen.
Smorty's referral system works automatically so their is no reason you won't get paid unless it's a user fault. I'll list the stages in which a commission is registered and paid.
1. Firstly a blogger must display the Smorty banner correctly with all it's coding on their website. It must also be on an approved, active account with Smorty.
2. Your referral must have their cookies enabled when they click on your Smorty banner.
3. The referral must register their blog with Smorty whilst the cookie is still active in their computer.
4. The referrals blog must be approved and then make a post.
5. The referrals post must be approved before your next payment is due. This way it can be added to your next payment.
6. The referrals commission is only paid if you have other pending earnings, it is not paid on it's own.
Hope this helps you find the reason if you didn't receive commissions.

Sending email for new opportunity
-- New Campaign Alert !!- cool
But first come first served... Bloggers can then accept the new campaign and when enough have signed up for it, it will no longer show on the admin panel, also when you log in to see this opportunity you will see a clear notice explaining if there are no campaigns left.
Please do not send emails to our support team regarding this question. You just need to be quick and remember there are 10,000 approved (!) bloggers in the system!
Have a good weekend . :)

Duplicate Content !
Today I would like to talk about 'Duplicate Content' !
Duplicate content is an advertisers' worst nightmare, and Smorty's. If a blogger writes a post copying content from the advertisers site, another bloggers post or anywhere else on the internet, Smorty will notice and unfortunately ban you. We regard this as fraudulent or simply cheating the system. Duplicate content is stealing money from an advertiser and reducing a posts importance on the web.
How does Smorty find posts with duplicate content?
Each time you submit a post, our system runs a program matching your words with other blog posts on the web. If you are the second person to submit a post and it's found to have duplicate content, your post is automatically disputed. Smorty staff will then double check it's content and if found to by clearly duplicate, they will ban your account.
What can you do to stop this?
Simple, write quality, original content. Why? it's good for your blog (more indexed pages with higher importance, plus you get a higher Smorty star rating), good for the advertisers (They get value for their money).
Once you are caught writing duplicate posts, you will be banned forever and outstanding payments will be lost. So please, keep up the good work and everyone will be happy.
Here at Smorty we love to work with honest and hard working bloggers. We like to give value to our advertisers and your best results means success for everyone.
See you soon ..

What are indexed pages and Page Rank
First of all I want to thank you for all your nice comments , also I am really happy to see lots of bloggers enjoy using the Smorty Forum. There is lots of useful information in it and to see bloggers help bloggers is really nice for me :)
Today I just want to say something about indexed pages and Page Rank . You all know very well what the page rank is, I am sure all bloggers are already masters at this :) However some bloggers, especially new bloggers do not know what an indexed page is. An indexed page is simply: how many pages of your blog have been crawled and listed in the search engines so far.
To have enough number of indexed pages is the most important criteria for us to approve a blog in to Smorty. There are many different tools on the internet but to simplify, You can go to Google's search box and enter your blog's URL in the search field by entering ‘site:’
i.e. Site:http://your blog URL
This is true of many sites where you may wonder if your blog is indexed for search. If Smorty decline your blog due to a lack of indexed pages, you can always resubmit your blog when it has enough indexed pages on Google.
I hope this tiny information may help you.

What is the post URL and how can you find it?
The importance of the post URL for us is that with our periodic checking the system will not follow any posts made with Smorty on your home page. This is against our rules . Some of the old Smorty fellas know very well already that payments have been put on hold due to the post URL being missing. You often tell us posts are not missing , but have submitted your home page URL instead of the exact post URL so the system could not find it.(Of course if any of the posts have been deleted , we have no choice but ban the blog !)
Time for coffee .. see you soon:)

5 Star Rating System
Here I am, back again. I thought you might like to have a full explanation of the 5 star rating.
The 5 stars are given to your blogger profile and affect the posts and payments you get. Here's a run down of how it works;
The following scores are given for each action, the average of all scores determines your final rating.
. Task completed and submitted - 4/5
. The advertiser gives your post a rating - a score between 1 and 5A
. A task expires within 24 hours - 2.5/5
. Post is sent back for fixing - 2.5/5
. Your post was declined - 1/5
Your final star rating is also an average taken over all blogs listed in your account.
What does the star rating affect?
Tasks will be delivered to the highest rated blogs first, then work their way down to the lowest rated blogs.Star ratings are also divided by the blogs Page rank, e.g. if an advertiser creates a campaign for Page Rank 3 blogs only, the tasks will be delivered to the high star rated blogs with Page Rank 3 first, then to the lower star rated blogs with Page Rank 3.
Hope this is helpful for you all. Will speak to you again soon! ;)

What is anchor text and how can you paste it on your post ?
Smorty provides you with this code ,and you just paste the code on to your posts HTML part. It is that easy .Any posts saying anchor text not found means that the code we provided has not been placed exactly as we provided it to you. it must be found unaltered. If the system says "Anchor URL/text not found" You don't need to send an email to us, please check the code again and it will submit without a problem.

Very First Post
This is Jennifer(!), Blog Editor of Smorty. I’m here to introduce you to Smorty.
Actually you know very well what Smorty is. Smorty is an organic structure that grows and gets bigger with you bloggers, it's a hub between bloggers and advertisers. The master plan is to find the shortest way to allow bloggers to earn more money by using our system. While we were trying to do that we received a lot of e-mails from you and realized that our bloggers needed someone on their side! Someone to guide you, explain things you must or must not do, inform you about the new features on Smorty and generally help with many more things... as a matter of fact I'm planning to create a platform in which we can discuss anything you need.
I can tell you that lots of surprises are coming soon, ( our poor engineers are working around the clock). Also you'll soon be able to see how colorful a blog advertising network can be.
To make a long story short, I'm planning to change this platform from a cold place to a warm, entertaining and interactive area and also to take most of the load from the shoulders of the Smorty support team
So I'm saying Hi to all of you ladies and gents again and starting work on my new posts (hard job hehe)
Second Post : What is anchor text (URL ) and how can you paste it on your post ?
