Helpful Toolbars:

Morning all.

There are thousands of topical blogs and websites with information about page rank, traffic, link popularity… etc, and I am pretty sure you all try to use each and every new method on the net to get the best out of your blog, but I am not sure that all information is actually true or very useful at the least. For this reason I suggest that you visit only authoritive blogs such as Matt Cutts (http://www.mattcutts.com/blog). You can find the most relevant and truthful information first hand.

The following tools are also helpful in understanding the importance of your blog, finding the weakest part and learning how to fix it.

A Page Rank Checker, Back link checker, Link Popularity tool and my favorite Keyword Suggestion tools can be found here: http://www.iwebtool.com/tools/ I suggest you use all available tools to find your position in blog cyberspace.

Here’s another useful site which generates a report for grading your blog or website based on link structure, information, language skills, uniqueness and more: http://www.websitegrader.com/
I really liked this site as it helps you easily find the common mistakes in your blog.

Lastly make sure your blog is in: Technorati and Dmoz.org. They are the largest web directory in the internet and Google loves them :)

See you soon.

Thank you for your kind and supportive emails

Hi again,

I am sorry not to have published any posts these last few days, we are really busy with the new feature! As I have mentioned before, we are trying to find the shortest way to allow bloggers to earn more money by using our system.

Also thank you for your nice emails regarding the new feature. I assure you we are still working on the pay per click mini stores feature coming shortly.

The description area for the campaign

Hello everybody,

I want to remind you one of the advertisers requests again. You all know there is a description section for the campaign that the advertisers fill to guide your post. I suggest you read this area very carefully!. This area is created for you, lets say: “it’s a way of communication between bloggers and the advertisers!” Simply click ‘Show details’ link below the task to find what advertisers ask from you.

Don’t forget though, the advertisers have no right to create their own rules, you only need follow the specific rules of Smorty. You should still follow their preferences in their description area though. For example if an advertiser asks you to write a post for a special product on the web page, please do it. Otherwise they have the right to dispute your post and please remember it affects your “star rating” directly. They may not dispute the post but they can still give you lower rating.

Smorty doesn’t allow them to change specific rules. For example they can’t ask you to write post of minimum 300 words.

Please read the Smorty blogger rules and the description area for the tasks before submitting a post. We all want happy advertisers and bloggers.

Have a nice day

Post Exchange Feature

Good Morning All

Our new features (more than one) as we mentioned before, are almost ready. Thanks for your patience, I’m sure it will pay off. One of these new features is ready to go. Post Exchange (beta)!

As you know, our advertisers create campaigns for you so they can build traffic and links. Now you too can have the same benefit for free. This is what we mean by post exchange. You can now exchange a written post for each other, one for one. This is not a reciprocal link, you will write a post for a blogger in the same category, then a different blogger will write a post for you. We make sure that these posts are exchanged only by similar blogs that are indexed with search engines and have rankings, you will only receive quality bloggers of the same value as yours.

You will find all information about it on your admin panel under the “Post Exchange (beta)” link. Please read all the available information. Then click Post Exchange Settings: to arrange your anchor text. It means other bloggers will publish a post for you by using the anchor text as you provided.
Then click:
Get New Task: to see a task for you. You will always find only one task here. After submitting your task to the system you will find a new one. Remember For every post you wrote, a post will be written for you by a different blogger, one for one.
Review Post to read the post which is written for you. You can give a rating to the bloggers and it will affect their Smorty 5 star rating directly. Also you can dispute the post. The post will be sent back to the bloggers to fix it. But please remember disputing a post affects their ranking So please think twice before disputing and rating! Disputing for false reasons will have a negative affect on your own account.

I think this is enough, you will find it on your admin panel as I mentioned you before. It is all free and only for Smorty approved bloggers. Enjoy it :)

Have a good weekend.

Emails I receive

Hi again.

Grammar is a major problem with many bloggers and the main reason your posts are disputed. We talk about this in the forum a lot and the blogger rules clearly mention this. "All posts must be written using correct grammar. If the advertiser finds your post to be using incorrect grammar it will be disputed and removed from your completed posts list". Remember that we approve you with the understanding that you have read our rules and are competent in posting for advertisers.

Guys I know blogs are personal and you are free to write anything into it, but never forget that you are getting paid for posts so you need to be careful about grammar. Please double check your posts. If the post has broken English it will be disputed and it will affect your rating. This may be sent back for fixing, however it may be declined entirely or even result in an entire ban depending on each case. This is a job after all, it needs to be done as professional as possible.

Do not forget to read the 'Campaign Description' and visit the website of the advertisers.
Sometimes you need to place a second link if the advertisers ask you to. If you don't do what advertisers ask then your post will be disputed and it will affect your rating. Neither of us want that so please be careful, we don’t provide explanations on why your star rating has dropped.

Please, if you are not sure what you should write about for a campaign, simply 'remove' it. You won't lose anything.

I’m praying that this be the last day I receive complaint emails from advertisers about grammar. :)

Have a good day.
Jen.

Wrong Paypal ID

Good Afternoon,

Our support team just asked me for a favor so today’s article is about wrong/invalid Paypal ID’s. I have no idea why bloggers enter wrong Paypal ID! You need to double check it on sign up or check your details from your admin panel.

The rule is you need to verify the payment from your Paypal admin area within 30 days to get the payment but you can’t verify the payment if you have entered a wrong/invalid Paypal ID. We have been informed by Paypal that, with rejected or unclaimed payments to blogger's Paypal accounts, PayPal is taking 1 month to return and have it ready to send again using mass pay. It means you should wait for 1 month to get paid. Then the payment will be added to your account and will be sent with your pending earnings. Our Mass pay system only generates a payment cycle if there has been a post submitted. There is no way to send the payment from our account to yours directly.

Please check your Paypal ID again and make sure you have entered the correct one.

What is backlinking?

Morning,

I suppose that all bloggers- especially bloggers who work with some companies for blog advertising, like Smorty, know a lot about Page Rank, indexed pages, backlinks etc. but when I checked the last emails that our support team received I realized that a lot of bloggers don’t have any idea about backlinks.

Backlinks are the inbound links from other sites pointing your sites pages. It is one of the most important factors in SEO, but it’s not just the number of backlinks which is important, it’s the relevancy of those sites. A good quality backlink is:
a) From other blogs with relevant content.
b) From higher page rank blogs.
c) Anchor text of the backlinks should be the keyword that you are trying to optimize for.
d) Do not try to get a lot of backlinks in a short time period.

There are different tools on the internet to check your backlinks or you can just enter
link:your-blog-here.blogspot.com on the Google search box.

Lastly: It’s just not possible to get a Page Rank 5 with two backlinks. Stop buying high page rank domains and submitting your blog to Google 

See you soon.
Jennifer.
