Emails I receive

Hi again.

Grammar is a major problem with many bloggers and the main reason your posts are disputed. We talk about this in the forum a lot and the blogger rules clearly mention this. "All posts must be written using correct grammar. If the advertiser finds your post to be using incorrect grammar it will be disputed and removed from your completed posts list". Remember that we approve you with the understanding that you have read our rules and are competent in posting for advertisers.

Guys I know blogs are personal and you are free to write anything into it, but never forget that you are getting paid for posts so you need to be careful about grammar. Please double check your posts. If the post has broken English it will be disputed and it will affect your rating. This may be sent back for fixing, however it may be declined entirely or even result in an entire ban depending on each case. This is a job after all, it needs to be done as professional as possible.

Do not forget to read the 'Campaign Description' and visit the website of the advertisers.
Sometimes you need to place a second link if the advertisers ask you to. If you don't do what advertisers ask then your post will be disputed and it will affect your rating. Neither of us want that so please be careful, we don’t provide explanations on why your star rating has dropped.

Please, if you are not sure what you should write about for a campaign, simply 'remove' it. You won't lose anything.

I’m praying that this be the last day I receive complaint emails from advertisers about grammar. :)

Have a good day.
Jen.

Well if I am the advertiser promoting a product a bad ad will do me bad publicity so naturally I would really prefer something good written about my product or services for that matter. I don't see any reason why bloggers could not accept this reality.

Jen, I'm trying to find some info. out about Smorty's "guidelines." Outside grammar, which is a justified concern, what else can affect ratings?

I signed up for the forums but the account has yet to be activated and would like an explanation for something. So I came here. The contact us staff sent me to how the star rating works on a mechanical level but I would like additional info.

I was given a two-star rating and doubt it's because of grammar. I was also careful to make sure I followed the requests of advertisers.

That said, I would like to know if Smorty let's people know where they may have gone wrong. I also would like to know WHY it was given in my case so that I can refine and improve the rating. Right now I have no clue what the situation is.

Alex

Thanks!
